California Association of Dental Assisting Teachers
Message from the President
Welcome to 2024. The new year is already off to a great start. Thank you to those who renewed their memberships and welcome to those who may be new members to CADAT. Whether a new member or a renewing member, you are appreciated and welcome to CADAT 2024!
Your CADAT board has been working hard this year on your behalf. Government issues continue to be at the forefront with the Dental Boards Sunset Review coming in March. The Dental Assisting Council has a workgroup that will be focusing on the educational regulatory package. And legislation is on the horizon regarding an update on the scope of practice. Melodi Randolph, CADAT past president and GR Chair continues to represent CADAT with integrity and vigor.
Annual conference registration is underway, and the meeting promises to be robust and dynamic with methodology and hands on courses to engage educators as well as the working dental assistant. Friday will include round table type opportunities to share methodologies and resources to enhance your teaching skills. Don’t miss out on this engaging 2-day meeting April 19-20, 2024. And don’t miss out on the early bird registration!
Your CADAT board and committees consist of educators with a variety of skills and talents. As we approach our annual meeting, we will also be seeking others to join us. This is a great way to share your skills, talents and passions. Applications can be found under the membership tab.
Thank you for your continued support and blessings to you and your families in the new year!
Shari Becker, CDA, RDA, FADAA, AS
