California Association of Dental Assisting Teachers
Message from the President
May 2026
The 2026 annual conference has come and gone—thank you to everyone who attended, including our sponsors, for your interaction and support in making the event a success, and a special shout-out to our amazing presenters for sharing their expertise, knowledge, and skills.
This year the CADAT board will focus on increasing member benefits by sharing curriculum and methodology and offering more live courses. We’ll be looking for members who can contribute and share their ideas and consider presenting online.
The next DAC/DBC meeting is May 13–14, 2026 at the Anaheim Hilton Hotel. Please consider attending. Work continues with the Alliance and the DBC on duties, with the review of the educational regulations coming soon. Remember, your voice and participation matter. Watch for continued legislative updates from Melodi Randolph.
Thank you for your membership as we move into 2026—please encourage non-member colleagues to join, as another membership benefit is political and legislative representation, with a portion of dues contributing to supporting our lobbyist, Cody Boyles.
I am grateful, once again, for your support and trust as we work together to enhance and advance education, CADAT, and the profession of dental assisting.
Sincerely,
Shari Becker, CDA, RDA, FADAA, AS
