Lizzie entered the world of dentistry in 2008, graduating from the dental assisting program at Foothill College and becoming an RDA. She is also a certified dental assistant and went on to get her bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene. She worked for a decade with Tooth Fairy Systems and helped support the launch of a new dental assisting apprenticeship pathway at Foothill College, where she is currently working as a part-time dental assisting instructor. Throughout her educational journey she has continually worked chairside in private practice for the same dentist she began her career with.
She thrives though experiences and connections created with the people of this community and for the last 15 years she has been active in many professional affiliations including, Foothill College Dental Program Advisory Board, CADAT, DAEGRs, ADEA, and ADAA. Lizzie has served as a subject-matter expert for state licensing examinations, and as an Oral Health Care Consultant for the SF Department of Public Health. Striving to maintain professionalism while promoting health gives her great satisfaction; yet, education has always been her passion, and teaching is what brings her joy.
